Based in Los Angeles, I am an Indonesian-born travel junkie and I still call Australia home. Having two children won’t stop me from exploring the world.

Traveling has long been my favorite escape routine. It has become a necessity, it helps keeping me away from going out of my mind. Motherhood can do that to you sometime.

For me, an escape doesn’t necessarily need to involve flying or going somewhere far away. Road trips counts! Even a day trip to someplace new is exciting enough. Heck, I feel like I’m on a mini-vacation when I get to do groceries by myself. I also think it’s not just about the destination, the journey is equally important from the moment you step out of your house.

I’m now in my 30s (and an exhausted mama of two boys) so backpacking, sleeping in hostels or flying with a budget airline doesn’t appeal to me anymore. It helps to be able to put your feet up straight or lie down on a 15-hour flight when flying with your kids.

With the right research and travel-hacking methods I’ve been paying much much less (more than often for almost free) to fly in first class and stay in luxury hotels in comparison to paying for an economy seat and staying in budget hotels.

I find that a lot of my travel decisions comes from hearing or reading other people’s stories & blogs on how to maximize their travel experience with a particular budget using certain websites, apps or credit cards, Ohh the options nowadays are endless….! It’s crazy and amazing at the same time.

So in this blog, I’d like to share my (our) experiences traveling to new places, it might cover certain aspects from flying/driving, accommodation or certain event experiences and I’ll be sure to include my travel-hacking tips. Hopefully it might help some of you out there who are in similar situation to plan your next adventure!
