The US Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles, owned by OUE Limited Singapore is the tallest building West of Mississippi or to put it easy (so you don’t need to worry where M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I – is), it is simply the tallest building in the West Coast.
On June 25th 2016, OUE Skyspace LA – a 360 degree observation deck located on floor 69 & 70 were officially opened for public- featuring one of a kind attraction and the first in the world – the SkySlide – a glass slide 1,000 feet above the ground.
Not for the faint-hearted but also not just for thrill-seekers. I am terrified of heights but I’ve been on the slide 3 times and survived. The key is not to look straight down for too long (Duh…) =P
The Skyspace LA experience starts at the transit area on the 54th floor where you can enjoy stunning aerial videos of Los Angeles and a number of interactive activities suitable for all ages. From this floor the OUE ambassadors will then show you to the elevators going up to the 70th floor.
The infinity display on the 54th floor.
The line to get on the Skyslide from the 70th floor.
If you want to avoid long lines, best to come before lunch time (they open at 10am) where the wait for the Skyslide would normally take between 10 to 20 minutes tops. If you come later in the day especially right before sunset, it usually gets a lot more busy and the wait could (unfortunately) take up to one hour.
My 8-year old son getting ready to ride on the Skyslide, minimum age to ride on the Skyslide is 5 years old and above. If your kids are somewhat nervous, they sometimes allow you to tandem ride with your kid (not more than one kid that is).

Watch Video: My second time on the Skyslide was equally fun!
Other than this exhilarating attraction, let’s not forget the breathtaking views of LA, I mean you can not get the same view from anywhere else in LA unless you ride on a helicopter.
My favorite spot is from the Westside Terrace on the 69th Floor where you can witness the magical golden hour and it never gets old even if you’ve seen sunsets countless of times.
From the opening night on June 24th. I won’t spoil too much and will let you discover you own Skyspace experience. OUE Skyspace is located on 633 West 5th Street, Los Angeles CA 90071 (Downtown LA). Open 7 days from 10am until 11pm and you can book your tickets online at skyspace-la.com
